Hiring A Jewish Wedding Planner - 3 Things To Consider

Planning any wedding can be quite overwhelming. Planning for a kosher or Jewish wedding can become quite the challenge. For the bride (kallah) she must find the perfect wedding dress, and if she is orthodox she must find one that is modest, a wedding gown that is fully covered and tznius but is beautiful as well. The groom (chosen) begins to study for the wedding by learning all of the Jewish Wedding Traditions as well as how married life will begin to differ from his already familiar single one.
For many the extra work of organizing a kosher Jewish wedding is just another part of its culture and is considered to be less of a burden and rather an adventure very much looked forward too. But for many especially those whose work schedule doesn't allow them the extra time to plan all of their weddings needs, hiring a wedding planner or party planner can better help them to organize their special day in the most efficient and beautiful way.
When you are considering hiring a Jewish wedding or party planner, keep in mind the following:
1 - Make sure they understand your wishes and needs. Be weary of anyone who tries to neglect the Jewish traditions that are important to you. Since Jewish weddings are full of various traditions, many of which are only important to some and some that are only important to others, it is important that a wedding planner take note of the ones you desire and incorporates them into the planning of your Jewish wedding.
2 - Keep in mind your budget. A kosher wedding can easily be en extra 20% or more depending if you are making it locally or not. In NYC and the New York tri state area a complete kosher wedding will easily be 30% more then in most of the US.
3 - Be clear about your scheme. The best wedding schemes have a simple concept and often will have a mostly neutral color palette with one bright color accent or focal color. Of course it is ok to have several colors as your scheme but keep in mind that the more color you add the more you have to neutralize its surrounding to keep the overall look to be sophisticated and elegant. Rather if you prefer a less mature themed wedding a great variety of colors can be more suited for your scheme.
I hope this helps you when considering to hire a Jewish wedding planner to design and oversee your kosher event.
